Our computer vision system autonomously identifies and curates potential highlights and short clips of interest, by understanding the content of the video itself with per-second granularity.

This allows our system to “tag” or categorize various portions of a video, identify interesting or exciting moments (e.g. kills, points scored, key moments, other aspects or events of interest), and can automatically extract highlights and short-form video clips that are most likely to drive audience engagement.

These clips or highlights can then be “piped” directly to your live video production crew in real-time, without user intervention. In addition to providing automated highlight/replay clips for live video production, the same curated video clips can easily be posted online by broadcasters, to drive increased digital engagement on social media, or archived.

We recently worked on a poker broadcast (Daniel Negreanu vs Doug Polk) to automatically keep track of in-game statistics like the cumulative dollars won/lost by players, number of “rebuys”, number of hands played, bet sizes, etc.

None of this data was provided manually, it was extracted in real-time by our automated computer vision system, and used to drive a live-overlay surrounding the poker-game commentators, and to provide additional metrics and statistics to inspire the commentators and help them entertain and engage the audience.

Normally, these metrics would only be available after the broadcast had ended -- because they are difficult and expensive to track manually, in real-time -- but our computer vision system made possible live, commentator-driven use of these in-game metrics and statistics.
